Chanba Poly
Chanba Poly is a grand theater interior located in Xi'an, China. The theater is the centerpiece of the Chanba Silk Road International Cultural and Art Center. The design is inspired by a gem on the banks of the Chan River, and the building appears as a large stone set within the Qinling Mountains. The public hall extends the flowing lines of the building and forms a visual dialogue with the curtain wall. Materials include GRG, artificial stone, metal grilles, aluminum panels, paint-free decorative panels and sound-absorbing panels. The interior joins regional culture with a modern form.
Chanba Poly Theatre by HONG Designworks has been featured as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Chanba Poly Theatre received the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
