Move
Move is a chair designed to adapt to individual body shapes and ergonomic needs. The seat can change its tilt angle like a cradle, while the backrest is suspended at two converging points, so the backrest can rotate and tilt. A pressure sensor embedded in the seat reminds the user to stand up after a set period through vibrations. The structure is made of cast aluminum with fully recycled content, and the seat, backrest and armrests are made of five-axis milled cork. Move can be assembled by the user and shipped in flat boxes, which reduces the carbon footprint.
Move Chair by Ariel Śliwiński has been highlighted as a grand representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Move Chair won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2024. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which honors exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
