WOWO
WOWO is a group of multipurpose seating furniture for homes with people and pets. The rounded form comes from the mouth shape made when children say the word wowo. High saturation colors and a hollow structure give the seats a playful and flexible character. The supporting parts are made of solid wood in its natural color, cut by machine and finished by hand grinding. The main body uses 3D printing and a magnetic assembly structure, which eases transport. The seats suit reading, tea drinking and rest.
WOWO Multipurpose Furniture by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 was identified as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. WOWO Multipurpose Furniture won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2024. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
