3G Home
3G Home is a residential house in Singapore, redesigned as a multi generation family home. The project keeps the existing two storey terrace structure and adds a third storey that is set back from the front, so the house does not tower over the neighbouring units. A pure white facade gives the building a calm and timeless look and helps keep the interior cool. The old roof tiles were replaced with a steel roof and skylights of treated glass that filters most of the heat. A powder coated steel screen shades the master bedroom balcony.
3G Home Residential House by Renaissance Planners & Designers has been highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. 3G Home Residential House won the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2024. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
