Contemporary Workspace
Contemporary Workspace is an office interior located in a developing area near Chandigarh. The project covers an open floor plan of about 8000 square feet, with circulation cores, columns and windows already in place. A brutalist material palette of exposed concrete, brick, wood and metal is used throughout. A monolithic concrete floor binds the workspace, while high ceilings, wooden blinds and a statement ceiling installation guide the eye. Glass partitions keep the areas connected, and yellow accents add interest to the working surfaces.
Contemporary Workspace Office by Studio Vasaka has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Contemporary Workspace Office was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
