M8 Cultural Tourism
Retail M8 is a mixed use retail and cultural building in Macau. The project is located near Fountain Square, in a protected heritage area of the city. Retail M8 has a six storey structure above ground, reaching a height of 20.35 meters, and a three storey basement extending 12 meters underground. The building covers a land area of 948 square meters and offers a gross floor area of 7,426 square meters. The facade combines anodized stainless steel with coated aluminium cladding. The design respects the historical context and supports cultural tourism and community interaction.
M8 Cultural Tourism Shopping Mall by China Construction Engineering Macau was selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. M8 Cultural Tourism Shopping Mall won the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2025. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which rewards outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
