Park Wellstate Nishiazabu
This is a residence for seniors aged 65 and over in Japan, where the population is rapidly aging. Although it is located in the densely populated city center of Tokyo, there are few tall buildings in the surrounding area, so residents can enjoy views of the night view and distant mountains from the 125m high-rise building. As the elderly residents spend most of their lives on the premises, a living environment has been created in which they can experience greenery, water, light, and wind, and feel the changes of nature.
Park Wellstate Nishiazabu Senior Residence by Obayashi Corporation was highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Park Wellstate Nishiazabu Senior Residence received the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2025. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that recognizes superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
