Brilliant Milky Way
Brilliant Milky Way is a residential interior design for a home of 59.5 square meters in Taichung, Taiwan. The layout includes three bedrooms, a living room and a dining area. A palette of black, white and gray is used throughout. The living room television wall combines natural marble, black mirrors and metal trim panels. Curved panels covered with metal film soften the straight lines of the space. The kitchen island holds appliances on one side and a recess for a stroller on the other. The entrance hall has a full wall of storage with indirect lighting.
Brilliant Milky Way Residence by YS. Interior Studio was selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Brilliant Milky Way Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
