This lounge chair redefines material application by incorporating armored glass, a material traditionally used in security industries, into furniture design. The chair features a voluminous, upholstered seat contrasted by transparent glass armrests that enhance lightness and elegance. Extensive research on glass lamination allowed for the integration of textile within the glass layers, merging strength with visual delicacy. The result is a timeless, innovative piece that challenges conventional upholstery and reimagines the role of glass in domestic furniture.
Atlantic 003 Lounge Chair by Fabrizio Constanza has been recognized as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Atlantic 003 Lounge Chair received the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2025.
