Lumous
Lumous is a fiber optic data hub designed for high performance data centers. The modular structure of Lumous integrates fiber optic technology for fast and energy efficient data transfer. The core unit measures 600 mm in width, 400 mm in depth and 250 mm in height, and extendable fiber optic arrays adapt to different configurations. The chassis is made of lightweight aluminum and thermally conductive composites for heat dissipation. Kinetic cooling elements respond to workload intensity. A holographic interface allows real time monitoring and adjustment.
Lumous Fiber Optic Data Hub by Tomi Rantasaari has been highlighted as a creative example of strategy design by the A' Design Award. Lumous Fiber Optic Data Hub received the Iron A' Design Award in Generative, Algorithmic, Parametric and AI-Assisted Design in 2025. The A' Generative, Algorithmic, Parametric and AI-Assisted Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that honors superior design of algorithmic artworks, parametric architectures, generative graphics, AI-Assisted illustrations, computational sculptures, procedural patterns, evolutionary installations, interactive experiences and more.
