Kengzi Shenzhen
Kengzi Shenzhen is a fire station built on an irregular trapezoid plot of 5,960.64 square meters in Pingshan District, Shenzhen, China. The building follows a U-shaped courtyard layout that forms a large inner yard for training and daily activities. The complex includes a three-story building and a seven-floor training tower, and can hold up to twelve fire engines. The garage faces a square near an urban road, so fire engines can leave the site quickly. Roof gardens and sports areas improve daily conditions for firefighters.
Kengzi Shenzhen Fire Station by SUIADR was identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Kengzi Shenzhen Fire Station received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2025. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that rewards exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
