The Joy of Rest
The Joy of Rest is a residential interior design for an apartment of approximately 66 square meters. The layout follows a modern hotel style and gives priority to function and rest. The master bedroom and the secondary bedroom were merged to increase storage and improve the plan. Smart zoning and custom built furniture keep daily movement simple. E1 grade panels, wood, natural stone and eco friendly finishes were selected for a healthy and durable environment. Adjustable lighting creates a calm setting for the residents.
The Joy of Rest Residential Interior by Han Kuan Lin was recognized as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. The Joy of Rest Residential Interior was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
