Time Imprint
Time Imprint is a residential house designed for elderly residents in a rural setting near Suzhou. The three-story building covers 680 square meters and combines traditional Chinese aesthetics with accessible planning. Anti-slip rubber flooring, handrails along the main passage, an elevator and a ground floor bathroom reduce walking distances and the risk of falls. Diatomaceous earth walls, carbonized bamboo, oak flooring and granite are used as finishes. Rainwater recycling, low-emissivity skylights and modular vertical planters with drip irrigation support sustainable living.
Time Imprint Residential House by Haocheng Qiao was recognized as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Time Imprint Residential House won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
