Expandy
This is the office of a company that exports products from all over Japan overseas. It is located on the second floor of the company's vast logistics warehouse. The Spanish owner and a Japanese designer had many discussions to decide on the interior design. The design theme is a rough, dynamic, and inorganic monotone interior like an old warehouse in Europe or the United States. However, if everything is monotone, it becomes too inorganic and is not the best design for an office space to work in, so ingenuity has been put into each part to create a design suitable for an office space.
Expandy Office by SHUNSUKE OHE was recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Expandy Office received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
