Ramesh
Ramesh is an armchair inspired by the poised stance of a gazelle. The chair is composed of two main elements. The rear structure extends from the back legs to the armrests and backrest, forming a continuous arc. The front structure provides stability and is joined with cylindrical wood joints and reinforced rivet connectors. Cup-like armrests and a contoured, segmented backrest support ergonomic comfort. The frame is made of hardwood, shaped by computer controlled milling and refined by hand, while the upholstery is leather.
Ramesh Armchair by Sepideh Bayat has been highlighted as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Ramesh Armchair earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2025. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that recognizes superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
