Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng
Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng is a packaging design for Chinese baijiu served at wedding banquets. The box opens with a pull-out mechanism, so that two pandas drawn in ink painting style appear to embrace each other. Six illustrated stages of a shared life are linked to the steps of opening the package. The bottle shape is based on bamboo, and the cap follows the form of a traditional embroidered ball. The package is made of recyclable pulp material. The spiral bottle mouth allows the bottle to be reused as a cup or a vase.
Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng Baijiu Packaging by Sinong Wu has been selected as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng Baijiu Packaging won the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2026. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that recognizes excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
