Epsy
Epsy is a mobile application designed for people living with epilepsy. Epsy is available as a native app for iOS, Android and Apple Watch. Users can log seizures, medication, side effects and life events, and the data is turned into clear insights to share with doctors. Educational articles support understanding of the condition. Accessibility was a priority, so custom motion and notification controls and seizure-safe patterns were developed. The design was based on extensive user research.
Epsy Mobile App by Jake Wilkins was recognized as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Epsy Mobile App earned the Silver A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design in 2026. The A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of smartphones, tablets, wearables, mobile applications, mobile games, mobile software, mobile platforms, mobile interfaces and more.
