Ripples of Time
Ripples of Time is a residential interior design that merges two units into a 1056 square metre home for a multi generational family. The 13 original structural columns are clad in translucent stone, so the structure becomes an artistic feature. A freestanding audio visual unit replaces the traditional television wall and keeps the panoramic views open. A 4.7 metre marble dining table is held by a concealed steel structure, so no table legs are needed. Recycled Italian stone and an integrated smart home system are used throughout the residence.
Ripples of Time Residential Apartment by Shi Zhe Luo was highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Ripples of Time Residential Apartment won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
