Melodic Realm
Melodic Realm is a bottle designed for baijiu, a traditional Chinese spirit. The form is inspired by a Tang Dynasty gilded octagonal cup with musician motifs, and the eight-sided structure is reproduced in ceramic fired at high temperature. A physical vapor deposition coating gives the surface a gold-toned metallic luster with high hardness and good resistance to corrosion. Relief carvings of Han and other musicians run along the eight sides, recalling a scene of music playing from all directions. A clear acrylic case allows display from every side.
Melodic Realm Baijiu Bottle by Yong Huang has been recognized as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Melodic Realm Baijiu Bottle received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2026. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which rewards excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
