House LW27
House LW27 is a private residence built on a relatively small site in a residential area. The white volume contrasts with rough natural stone elements. White plastered walls, oak floors and natural stone for floors, bathrooms, chimneys and walls shape the interior. On the ground level an open plan flows freely from east to west along the pool. Floor to ceiling sliding windows link inside and outside all year. The upper floor holds bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. A planted roof terrace returns the sealed ground area to nature.
House LW27 Private Residence by Stephan Maria Lang was recognized as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. House LW27 Private Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2026. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which rewards excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
