Celina
Kaïn's design of Celina came out of a problem he had encountered, portable speakers were either too outspoken or they had no identity at all. This is why Celina focuses on making a statement where it is placed down. It expresses luxury through the use of the materials. It expresses functionality by exposing and illuminating the 360° bass output. And it expresses unity because of the ring that molds around the upper part and flows down the center gap under the speaker.
Celina Portable Speaker by Kaïn Kerkhove has been highlighted as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Celina Portable Speaker was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Digital and Electronic Device Design in 2020. The A' Digital and Electronic Device Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which rewards excellent design of smartphones, laptops, televisions, cameras, headphones, smartwatches, gaming consoles, tablets and more.
