Yagumitan Honey Packaging Design

Yagumitan

Yagumitan is a packaging design for high-end wild honey. The product name refers to the honey seeker in the valley. The glass bottle is shaped with diamond-like cut facets that express the scarcity and the quality of the honey. Colored glass is used to bring out the color and the texture of the honey inside. The outer box is formed as an undulating valley, and the gap between the valleys takes the shape of a compass to suggest searching. Contour lines and mountain cuts represent the cliffs where the wild honey is collected.

Yagumitan Honey Packaging Design by Wei Dai has been identified as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yagumitan Honey Packaging Design won the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which recognizes exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
