Golden Life
Golden Life is a packaging design for green plum wine. The form is inspired by traditional Japanese architecture with Chinese elements, including temple and house profiles and the curves of Zen buildings. A golden color reflects the tone of the wine. The outer box is made of composite paper combined with polyethylene and foil, while the bottle is made of glass, a chemically stable material that is not corroded by alcohol or acids. An opening on the side saves material and production steps. A removable ring and a ribbon hold the package closed and make it easy to carry.
Golden Life Wine Packaging by Bruce Tao has been highlighted as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Golden Life Wine Packaging was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
