Play Around Light
Play Around The Light is a residential interior design for a duplex apartment. The living room has a height of six meters, and its main wall of stone and wood extends upward to draw attention. The stairway connecting the two floors is placed under the dining room, and its base displays sculptures collected by the owner. Suspension and indirect lighting highlight the artworks. The open area between the dining space and the kitchen creates a circular flow. Public and private areas are clearly divided, and concealed storage supports the space.
Play Around Light Residential Space by Chen Chin-Shu has been identified as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Play Around Light Residential Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
