Bright House
Bright House is a residential interior design for a family apartment in Taichung City, Taiwan. The interior covers about 142 square meters and holds a living room, a dining room, an open kitchen, a reading and lounge area, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Open planning replaces solid walls, so daylight from two balconies reaches the shared living area. Metal frames and a metal folding screen define each zone. The materials include white stone, titanium-plated metal, light grey veneer and stone-look laminate.
Bright House Residence by Jumu Chiang was selected as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Bright House Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
