Leaves Shadow
Leaves Shadow is a minimalist residential interior located in Zhubei City, Taiwan. The home covers 168 square meters and contains three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and two bathrooms. Natural light on the site is limited, so the interior was planned around a careful lighting design. Fixture positions, heights and angles were calculated so that furniture, cabinets and plants create a soft display of light and shadow. Materials include timber veneer boards, timber louvre windows and dark-tinted glass. The original layout was kept in order to limit renovation work.
Leaves Shadow Residence by Heng Hsin Huang has been highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Leaves Shadow Residence received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
