Flower to Flora
Flower to Flora is a packaging design for a flower tea from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China. The illustration combines a peacock, a leafy tea tree, local flowers and a girl who lives in the rainforest. The scene shows a harmonious relation between people and nature. The illustration colours are taken from the ethnic costumes of Xishuangbanna. The outer box is made of black special paper with a tree texture and is finished with printing and bronzing. The box measures 340 mm in length, 120 mm in width and 240 mm in height.
Flower to Flora Tea by Wen Liu has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Flower to Flora Tea was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition that rewards superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
