Trex
Trex is a poster designed to present a new environmentally friendly engine developed by a turbomachinery company. The poster measures 700 by 1000 millimeters and is produced by digital print. The visual content explains how the engine improves combustion efficiency and reduces internal energy loss. An air bearing system increases compressor power by 30 percent and supports low emission running. Parts such as the casing and the air ducts are shaped with B-Spline curves and surfaces to improve airflow efficiency. Mathematics and fluid dynamics analysis support the visual design.
Trex Poster by HAN LIU has been selected as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Trex Poster was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2020. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which honors outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
