Residence of Chen
Residence of Chen is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. The original layout of four rooms and two halls was opened by removing partitions, creating a more spacious plan. The living room, dining room and kitchen are integrated, and the kitchen workbench faces the living room, so a parent can interact with the child while cooking. The sofa and dining table are placed on opposite sides, leaving open circulation in the middle. Cement gray tones are combined with wood, textured wallpaper and a pandomo floor. Low furniture lets daylight enter the rooms.
Residence of Chen Residential by Cheng Yu Hsieh has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Residence of Chen Residential earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
