India Packaging is a packaging system created for a consumer electronics product line sold in the Indian market. The design uses a contrasting orange and black color scheme to increase visual impact and to reflect the main brand color. A dedicated area on each box carries the brand identity, so the same style is kept across products of different categories and sizes. A clear structure on the front presents key product information, the slogan and the main selling points. Each box is made of paper, die cut and folded into shape.
For India Product Packaging by Xiaomi was recognized as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. For India Product Packaging was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which celebrates excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
