La Chapelle HQ
La Chapelle Headquarter is a landscape design for a corporate headquarters in Shanghai. The site is located on South Lianhua Road and covers an area of 41860 square meters. The design is inspired by the sakura, or cherry blossom, and this element is repeated across the grounds. Tree varieties were selected according to the preferences of the client and to local culture. The building layout and the differences in ground level required careful research and spatial analysis. The work took one and a half years and seeks a balance between the building and the landscape.
La Chapelle HQ Landscape by Yuannan Xu was selected as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. La Chapelle HQ Landscape received the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2020.
