Art of Simplicity
Art of Simplicity is the interior design of a sales center in Taichung, Taiwan, covering 140 square meters. A reception counter built with stone shows a flowing water pattern and greets visitors at the entrance. The discussion area behind the counter is finished in architectural concrete. Pine, solid wood and a solitary bird motif create a dignified and calm atmosphere. Dark tones form the main color scheme, with richer accents added. The natural patterns of the stone recall the texture of a rainforest and return the space to nature.
Art of Simplicity Model House by Hsin-Yuan Lee was highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Art of Simplicity Model House received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
