Grand Canal
Grand Canal is a sales office interior located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, with an area of 1546 square meters. The design takes water as its main theme and refers to the local canal culture of Hangzhou. White exterior wall paint, classical pattern boards, metal frames and floor-to-ceiling windows are combined with white wall tiles and bluestone paths. The natural stone floor carries a continuous wave-shaped pattern. The optimized courtyard layout links the interior rooms with the outdoor landscape features.
Grand Canal Sales Office by Chao Wang was identified as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Grand Canal Sales Office was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
