Light Composition
Light Composition is a residential interior design for a 450 square meter home in Taichung, Taiwan. The plan links the indoor spaces through gentle changes of light. Brown wood veneers extend from the entryway to the television wall and recall the texture of fair-faced concrete. Low cabinets form a visual route through the home. Clear glass panels divide the living and dining areas, admit daylight and contain cooking fumes. Suspended plants and a Japanese-style patio add greenery. Indirect lighting creates a calm mood at night.
Light Composition Residential Apartment by Chien-Neng Chang has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Light Composition Residential Apartment received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
