The Axis of Space Time Turning

The Axis of Space Time Turning is a residential apartment of 126 square meters planned for three generations of one family. The dining room, rather than the living room, is the main space, and a round table stands at the center. Large structural beams and columns are concealed by curved walls and ceilings. A marble curved surface forms the television wall and screens the study behind it. The corridor to the private rooms narrows between two circular walls. No sharp corners are used, so the home remains safe for daily family life.

The Axis of Space Time Turning Residential Apartment by Chien-Neng Chang has been highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. The Axis of Space Time Turning Residential Apartment was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
