White Home
White Home is a residential interior design for a family home of 120 square metres. The interior uses a monochromatic white palette with curved furniture and refined fittings. Bold tones of grey add contrast and soften the clinical look. Wood was avoided at the request of the owner, so solid surfacing, metal and glass are used to make the space reflective and appear larger. Walls combine solid surfacing and custom gypsum board. A smart home system with wireless lighting allows the user to set the mood for every moment. Recessed light belts guide the way to the bedroom.
White Home Residential House by Jackie Lai was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. White Home Residential House was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
