Corner of Tranquility

Corner of Tranquility is a residential apartment interior design covering 73 square meters. The scheme uses a modern style built from grey glass, aluminum pieces and iron pieces. Glass partitions define the study area and reduce visual blockages, while tile lines extend inward from the transparent glass. A storage room was created at the corner near the bathroom door by changing the direction of the master bedroom door. In the master bedroom, a large sliding door with an oil painting covers the window and can be opened to let daylight enter.

Corner of Tranquility Residential Apartment by Yi-Yun Chang was identified as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Corner of Tranquility Residential Apartment earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
