Realm of Transition
Realm of Transition is an office interior design of 275 square meters completed in Taipei City, Taiwan. The interior is based on a medieval nautical theme inspired by the explorer Magellan. Nautical motifs include hemp rope, arched beams, round rods, canvas, ship side boards and oak barrels. The chairman office features a cabin handle and medieval nautical charts. Recycled timber pallets and disused oak barrels were used to support sustainable design, and high-technology printing replaces some actual timber materials.
Realm of Transition Office by Leo Lin has been featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Realm of Transition Office received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
