Pierre De Ronsard
Pierre De Ronsard is a bakery interior covering 110 square meters. The design displays the baking process and desserts within one open retail space. The guiding concept is an ambiguous boundary between the shop and the inner street of the shopping mall. A perforated curved wall with ivory paint stands near the main entrance, and the spacing of the holes changes gradually. Laminated metal sheets of various heights serve as display units and as an interactive installation. Solid blocks replace fixed interfaces, so inside and outside connect.
Pierre De Ronsard Baking Shop by Yang Su was recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Pierre De Ronsard Baking Shop was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
