DouChaSai
DouChaSai is a packaging design created for a tea honoured at a folk tea competition held at Wuyi Mountain in 2018. The box measures 160 by 40 by 245 millimetres and is made of special paper, finished with screen spot colour printing, bronzing and transfer metal stickers. Chinese calligraphy covers the surface, following the meaning and structure of the words for tea competition. The strokes are thick and drawn with tension, so the writing also reads as a painting. Inside the box are a small tea box and a collection certificate.
DouChaSai Tea by 7654321 Studio has been highlighted as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. DouChaSai Tea earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
