Undulating Flow
Undulating Flow is a residential interior design for a 165 square metre apartment in Taichung City, Taiwan. The layout includes a master bedroom with an en suite, a Japanese style tatami room, a living room, a study, a kitchen and three balconies. An undulating wooden beam ceiling recalls the distant mountains and is echoed by a wavy grey and black carpet. Red lacquer walls with black lacquer sliding doors enclose a changing room. The apartment was arranged to display art and objects collected by the owners during their travels.
Undulating Flow Residence by Rae Tsai, Jimmy Ko has been featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards.
