Lu One
Lu One is a signage system designed for a high-end villa residence in Luzhou, Anhui, China, which is set within a forest park. The wayfinding signs combine a map function and a pointing function, which reduces the number of ground signs and saves material. Translucent brown resin panels are paired with metal plates, so the signs reflect the surrounding scenery by day and are lit by LED light at night. Colors and materials are unified with the architecture and the landscape. The building numbers and unit numbers follow the letterforms of the Lu One logo for visual consistency.
Lu One Signage System Design by Zesion Design has been highlighted as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Lu One Signage System Design received the Silver A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2020. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that rewards outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
