Strange
Strange is designed for a departmental exhibition Pratt Institute held in 2019, discussing the relationship between the humorous situation in a stand-up comedy and the different perspective audiences can get. Stand-up comedy has revealed a vivid instance of how violations are perceived differently among collective identities. This project is based on quantitative and qualitative research. The campaign provokes intersectional perspectives and undergoing social changes driven by shifts in collaboration.
Strange Poster Series by Danyang Ma has been selected as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Strange Poster Series received the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2020. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition that honors exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
