5.1 is a collection of electrical switches and sockets designed for architectural interiors. The collection is defined by pure lines, a plate thickness of 6 mm and a minimal ergonomic toggle. Plates are made of stainless steel, brass, aluminium or Corian. A wide range of functions is offered, including switches, sockets, push buttons, dimmers, thermostats and USB chargers. The plates fit universal boxes and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Each piece can be adapted in material, finish and format to suit a specific project.
5.1 Switches and Sockets Collection by Font Barcelona was recognized as a creative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. 5.1 Switches and Sockets Collection was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Building Materials and Construction Components Design in 2020. The A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that rewards excellent design of bricks, beams, windows, doors, insulation materials, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, electrical components and more.
