Baoshan U World
Baoshan U World is a mixed use development in a suburban district of Shanghai. The layout uses a permeable perimeter block. Continuous facades along the city roads define an active public sidewalk, while several paths and small plazas lead into a central courtyard. The porous plan improves visual links to the nearby riverfront greenery. Community facilities and entertainment venues occupy the ground floor to keep the streets lively. Creative offices and apartments sit along the sides and surround a community service building that serves as a social and fitness hub.
Baoshan U World Mixed Use by Aico Ltd has been identified as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Baoshan U World Mixed Use received the Silver A' Design Award in Construction and Real Estate Projects Design in 2021. The A' Construction and Real Estate Projects Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that recognizes exceptional design of residential complexes, commercial buildings, industrial properties, Mixed-Use developments, hospitality establishments, educational facilities, healthcare centers, infrastructure projects and more.
