River One
River One is a residential complex located in Chongqing, China, between the Jialing River and Zhaomu Mountain Park. The orientation and height of every building follow the local terrain, so each apartment has an open view of the landscape. Height differences at the entrances are resolved by elevators and stairs set within the landscape design. A waterfall in the central courtyard and other landscape elements also address the level changes of the site. The facades are made of silver-gray aluminum plates, glass and wood-grained aluminum panels.
River One Residential by Quincy Li has been highlighted as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. River One Residential earned the Silver A' Design Award in Construction and Real Estate Projects Design in 2021. The A' Construction and Real Estate Projects Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that honors exceptional design of residential complexes, commercial buildings, industrial properties, Mixed-Use developments, hospitality establishments, educational facilities, healthcare centers, infrastructure projects and more.
