Copy Kats
Copy Kats is a teaching toolkit created for art and design educators to address visual plagiarism. The toolkit supports participatory design workshops that explore four issues linked to creative integrity, namely knowledge, assumptions, time and support. Contents include die-cut activity booklets, a custom card deck, double-sided posters and a stationery maker pack, all produced with traditional print methods. A bright colour palette, a clear sans serif typeface and playful cat illustrations make the topic approachable.
Copy Kats Toolkit by Lisa Winstanley has been recognized as a grand representation of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Copy Kats Toolkit won the Bronze A' Design Award in Education, Teaching Aid and Training Content Design in 2024. The A' Education, Teaching Aid and Training Content Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that honors exceptional design of textbooks, E-Learning platforms, educational games, training manuals, instructional videos, interactive whiteboards, educational software, lesson plans and more.
