Rebirth Residence

Rebirth

Rebirth is a residential interior design for an apartment in Taipei, Taiwan. The home covers about 82.64 square meters and contains a master bedroom, two further bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and two bathrooms. The original cabinets were kept and refinished instead of being removed. Discarded hardwood was reused to build the dining table, the coffee table and a lattice in the dining room. Pandomo, plaster, hardwood flooring, hardwood veneer and steel spray paint give the rooms a retro industrial character. The result is a minimal and warm home.

Sunshine Home Residence

Sunshine Home

Sunshine Home is a residential interior design for a three-level unit of 290 square meters. The original basement was fully enclosed, and the upper levels were closed on three sides, so ventilation and lighting were poor. Four patios were built in the basement to connect it with the level above and to bring in daylight and fresh air. The staircase was rebuilt as a straight diagonal run through all three floors to guide the flow of air. Light tones are used throughout. The lower level now holds a study, a tea room and a fitness space.

Golden Black Rhyme Residence

Golden Black Rhyme

Golden Black Rhyme is a residential interior design for a four-storey home of 212 square meters. The theme comes from an abstract painting in golden and black tones placed above the sofa. Materials, colors and furniture in the space extend from the painting, and its lines create visual balance. The first floor holds the living room and open kitchen, where a steel hanger with openings screens the elevator and continues to the kitchen ceiling to integrate the air outlet and recessed lights. The upper floors are private areas for three generations.

Cloud Flows Residence

Cloud Flows

Cloud Flows is a residential interior located in Taipei City, Taiwan. A partition wall was removed to merge two adjacent spaces into one, joining the windows on both sides into a single large opening that admits daylight and frames the mountain scenery. A meandering wall of black granite runs through the interior and forms its visual center. White granite, limestone bricks, gray mirrors and iron hardware complete the material palette. Private areas are placed at both ends of the plan, with shared areas at the center. The air conditioning system is concealed in the ceiling.

Space of Light Residence

Space of Light

Space of Light is a residential interior design with an interior area of 354 square meters. The theme is based on the concept of a gallery, where furniture and an artwork collection create visual extension and continuity. Large areas of white reduce any sense of oppression, while timber flooring unifies the lines of the space. Instead of concealing structural elements, the beam height was altered so that light and shadow extend as clear lines on the walls. Materials include imported timber flooring, Italian tiles, marble and environmentally friendly paint.

The House for Contemporary Art

This home was designed for an art appreciator and amateur artist who wanted a “house like an art museum”. Planned with careful consideration for air circulation as well as for the harsh, snowy climate of the Japan Sea coast, the structure is composed of white boxes of varying scale that frame spaces like pictures. One of the main concepts is 'Seamless Spatial Composition'. City Corner Residence

City Corner

City Corner is a residential interior design for an apartment of about 100 square meters in New Taipei City. The original long and narrow layout limited natural light and circulation. The kitchen and master bedroom were reoriented, window openings were enlarged, and hollow cabinets were used as partitions, so daylight reaches deeper into the rooms. Gray painted walls, wood grain tiles, OSB solid wood fiberboard, gray glass and black matte iron form a vintage industrial character in calm Morandi tones. Hidden doors, movable cabinets and hanging iron shelves add flexible storage.
